there's a Gigeresque quality to it too. also thematically. this cold, wrinkled flesh intersecting and fusing.. and this fabric, although it has a kind of silky shine, looks almost like rubber. gripping tightly around the wrists like some sort of hazmat suit

yeah those were all part of it i think but it was also a bunch of different stuff.. it's never an obvious mixture, it's always something counterintuitive and strange..
